Geraldine 'Jeri' Robideaux, 93

Geraldine "Jeri" Robideaux passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 13, 2015, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at the age of 93.

Jeri was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Spokane, Wash. to Warren C. and Mabel (Nelson) Moody. She was raised in Spokane and graduated from North Central High School in 1939 with scholastic honors.

Jeri married the love of her life, Jack Robideaux, and they spent a wonderful life together for 56 years. Jeri was an excellent tennis player, winning city championships in her earlier years.

Jeri and her husband Jack founded Robideaux Motors in Colfax, Wash. in 1948, and continued their success in the automobile business when they opened Robideaux Motors in Coeur d'Alene in 1960. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. Chapter BF, and was a long-time member of the Hayden Lake Country Club. Additionally, she served on the board of directors for the Cancer & Community Charities Board (the 3Cs) where she served as a founding board member, and the Kootenai County Cancer Board.

Jeri, was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robideaux; daughter-in-law Sally Robideaux; and sister Phyllis Hordemann. She is survived by her three sons: Thomas O. Robideaux of Sandpoint, Idaho, Robert W. Robideaux (Karen) of Hayden Lake/Sun Valley, Idaho, and John A. Robideaux, Jr. of Hayden Lake, Idaho; grandchildren Rebecca Robideaux Tiedge of Boise, Julie Robideaux Prince of Boise, Shaani Robideaux of Spokane, Robert Robideaux Jr. of Sun Valley, Tammy Nickel of Boise, and Christina Hatfield of Hayden; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Jeri was an outstanding individual, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, community volunteer and bridge player. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

A celebration of life is planned for 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Hayden Lake Country Club with Yates Funeral Home in care of the arrangements. All are welcome to attend. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park in Spokane.
