JUDGE: Mom's verdict unflattering

| January 2, 2015 8:00 PM

Honorable Watson, NO honor in your decision! Judge Watson was the presiding judge over our son’s divorce. Divorce is never easy. However, they have no real property or children and both were amicable on what they wanted and agreed upon. Her attorney from day one has been non-responsive to our son’s attorney or the courts. This easy divorce has taken almost four years (again no children or property). Finally, last summer the divorce decree was signed by Judge Watson, and my son’s retirement which is not much was divided amongst them as agreed.

The paperwork has been sent and re-sent to her attorney for submission to PERSI. First her attorney sent in incorrect information so had to wait again. Each time we called our attorney or our attorney sent a letter or filed with court the amount of his attorney fees increased. Finally on Dec. 22, 2014 his attorney is back in court because her attorney still has not done his job and filed the proper paperwork. Our attorney asked that our son be awarded part of his attorney fees, due to lack of response and time her attorney has taken. Honorable Watson refused to award any attorney fees saying that while it had taken a long time to get the order signed the delay was “reasonable.” I couldn’t believe it. Oh, and Judge Watson ordered the court to file the paperwork, so the court is doing her attorney’s job.

Shame on you Judge Watson, I thought you to be fair.
