IDAHO FALLS (AP) - An eastern Idaho woman who tried to climb through a train blocking the road lost her right foot when the train started moving.
Sarah Mowers, 18, of Idaho Falls said she was skateboarding home from work at 11 p.m. Wednesday when she came across the parked train.
She said she couldn't see the front or end, so she sat down and waited.
She said she became cold after 20 minutes and walked 100 yards south where she tried to climb between two cars.
She said that's when the wheels turned and severed her foot.
Idaho Falls Fire Department Capt. Wynn Whitmeyer said the foot was detached when paramedics responded to her 911 call.
Mowers said she's doing well and will be fitted for a prosthetic leg.
