Meyer, Quade make IBR list of successful women

There are two women from Kootenai County on Idaho Business Review's list of the state's 50 most outstanding women. The magazine and website included in its 2015 ranking: Judy Centa Meyer, of Hayden Lake, founding partner of Parkwood Business Properties; and Danielle Quade, of Coeur d'Alene, partner in the Hawley Troxell law firm.

The top 50 women received on their applications the highest scores in the areas of achievements and accomplishments, leadership, community service, setting and making goals and "wow factor." The 50 women will be honored at a dinner and awards gala 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 26 at the Riverside Hotel and their stories will be told in a dedicated magazine published with the Idaho Business Review Feb. 27.

Panhandle Parks Foundation announces new hires

The Panhandle Parks Foundation Board announced that Michael Morris has been hired as its executive director and Jenny Gray will be the executive assistant.

Morris was raised in Bend, Ore., and graduated from Mt. View High School, he earned a bachelor's degree in communications, with a focus on computer information systems, from Oregon State University. Morris worked in the telecommunications field for 22 years and founded multiple Internet service companies including Empire Net in Bend and Intermax Networks in Coeur d'Alene. He is currently on the board of directors for the North Idaho Men in Business Network as well as serving as the vice president of the board for the Panhandle Parks Foundation. Morris enjoys playing guitar and singing as well as fly fishing and spending time with his spouse Renee and their three children, in the beautiful parks and open spaces in and around North Idaho.

Gray, a Coeur d'Alene native, is a Lake City High School graduate. She has a bachelor's degree in resource recreation and tourism, with minors in urban forestry and parks, protected areas and wilderness conservation. She received her master's degree in environmental science from the University of Idaho. Gray worked for 11 years for the U.S. Forest Service in the agency's trails, recreation and fire departments. She loves the outdoors and enjoys running, hiking, biking, and exploring all of the beautiful places that North Idaho has to offer. She lives in Hayden with her husband, Mick, and their dog, Rudy.

The community is invited to drop by to meet the new staff and learn more about the Panhandle Parks Foundation. The Meet and Greet is Wednesday from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. at the Community 1st Bank Meeting Room, U.S. 95 and Hanley Avenue, Coeur d'Alene.
