Fairgrounds welcomes new employees

The Kootenai County Fairgrounds, home to the North Idaho Fair & Rodeo, announced the addition of two new members to its administrative team. Ty Thomas, marketing and resource development manager, and Alexcia Jordan, assistant fair manager and event coordinator, joined the fairgrounds team in early February. Their duties include advertising development, event coordination, digital enhancement and public awareness outreach.

"After an intensive interview process, these two individuals proved themselves to carry the attributes necessary to continue to foster and grow this organization's mission and objectives," said Dane Dugan, general manager of the fairgrounds. "We're looking forward to seeing how their new ideas will help boost the fairgrounds events and, in turn, the community's involvement."

Thomas's background includes a bachelor of science in business administration and marketing from Lewis-Clark State College. He carries expertise in consumer marketing, advertising, business management, event coordinating and public relations.

Jordan studied equine business at Midway College in Kentucky. She carries expertise in fundraising, volunteer recruitment and large scale event coordinating. She served on the Pro-West Rodeo Board since 2008 and shares a passion for the fair and rodeo as a competitor, board member and volunteer.
