Dustine Hushman, 56

| February 21, 2015 8:00 PM

Dustine Hushman, 56, died Feb. 18, 2015, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Dustine was born Aug. 27, 1958, in LeGrand, Ore., to Lou and Leo Miller. She spent her formative years in the Burke and Wallace, Idaho area, attending Wallace schools. Dustine graduated from Casper College in Casper, Wyo. with an associates degree in Career Office Studies.

Dustine married Tim Bare and in this union a baby daughter was born. When that union dissolved, she married Dan Pfau and another baby daughter was born. Dustine never forgot either one of them, and loved both of them until the day she died.

In September of 1990, Dustine married Gregory Hushman. He brought Dustine back to her native North Idaho that she loved so very much, and to be closer to family. Dustine called North Idaho "God's Country."

Dustine loved camping and fishing. She was always at peace in the mountains by a river or stream. She loved the sound the waves made over rocks, especially waterfalls. Dustine always looked forward to playing cards with her father and mother on Sundays until the pain she received in an accident at UPS in 1980 became so bad that she could only go on "good days" when the pain was manageable.

Dustine is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gregory Hushman; mother Lou Miller of Spokane; and sister Becky (Ron) Mueller of Harrington, Wash. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Stephanie Hushman-Willand (Michael) of Summerville, S.C., as well as both of her biological daughters, Alona and Amanda; granddaughters Kathleen Diane Willand and Anabelle Lynn; and grandson Michael Wayne Willand, III. She had too many nieces and nephews to name, but she loved them all.

Dustine's pain on this earth has ended, and she has joined her father, Leo Miller, who went before her to help her "move to another place" as so often the family did. The broken heart caused by her daughters never mended and will never go away. She always said she would be with "God" one day.

Per Dustine's wishes, no services will be held at this time and cremation has already taken place.

English Funeral Chapels is entrusted with Dustine's final arrangements. Please visit Dustine's online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
