NIC BASKETBALL: Landdeck's 3 wins it for Card women
* WOMEN
EPHRAIM, Utah - Monica Landdeck's 3-point basket at the buzzer lifted North Idaho College to a 67-66 victory over Snow College in Scenic West Athletic Conference women's basketball Thursday night.
With 5 seconds left, Katie King of NIC (19-11, 6-8 SWAC) took the inbound pass, dribbled up the court and found Landdeck on the left wing. With a hand in her face, the freshman lofted a high-arcing shot that bounced off the rim off the backboard and in as the buzzer sounded.
"It's funny, because we worked on a 5-second play right before we left," NIC coach Chris Carlson said. "She (Landdeck) is having a great freshman year; she's hit a lot of shots for us."
Kara Staggs scored 18 points, Landdeck and Panisesi Taimani 13 each for NIC, which wraps up the regular season Saturday at first-place Salt Lake (24-5, 12-2), which lost 78-75 to Southern Idaho (18-11, 9-5). Snow fell to 20-5, 8-6.
