LETTER: They look radical to me

It appears that you and your administration are having some difficulty using the words “Radical Islamic Terrorists.” May I make a suggestion to you that may help? Please assemble your entire Cabinet together — oh yes — bring in all of your czars also. It wouldn’t hurt to bring in all of their wives/husbands and children including your wife and two daughters. Now, show them the video of the Jordanian pilot in his cage. It would be good if you could put this on the largest screen possible — in movie screen proportion. Be sure everyone is comfortable. Turn down the lights so that everything is vividly clear.

This shouldn’t take a lot of your time — maybe 20 to 30 minutes. Watch closely as they soak him with gasoline and touch a match to him. Listen and watch closely as he screams in pain. Watch also as his captors shout and scream for joy. For just a moment, put into his place your wife and daughters, or the sons and daughters and wives and husbands of those watching with you. Try to imagine the horror of his mom and dad as they see their son burning to death as they view the same video you are now watching. Twenty or 30 minutes is a long time for me to wait in line for anything. I wonder how long it seemed to the Jordanian pilot who was being burned alive?! It’s also very important to stay through ‘til the end of the video — you know, to see the credits. They are very proud of their piece of work.

Now, a final question for you, Mr. President: Do you still have a problem calling these people “Radical Islamic Terrorists?”
