Jock Mader, 56

Jock was born on Sept. 22, 1958, to Jacqueline and Robert Mader in Coeur d'Alene, and passed away Feb. 14, 2015, in Spokane, Wash. He was a life-time resident of North Idaho.

Jock worked in the oil fields, commercial fishing, as well as construction and masonry. He loved music, especially the Grateful Dead, and followed them to at least 50 concerts.

Jock also loved to fish and was an avid gardener. He was a kind and loving man who would give the shirt off his back for someone in need. He will be missed.

Jock is survived by his ex-wife; two sisters; a nephew; his daughter; two grandchildren; and many other special friends who all loved him dearly.

Jock requested that there be no service and, in lieu of a service, requested that everyone listen to a Grateful Dead song and make a donation to your local Hospice in his name.
