SAGLE - Two motorists were injured in a rear-end collision on U.S. Highway 95 on Wednesday.
Idaho State Police said Derrek J. Bailey was driving northbound when his Toyota Tundra was rear-ended by a Cadillac CTS driven by Jeri S. Siel.
The collision caused Bailey to lose control of his pickup truck, which went off the roadway and struck several trees before coming to rest, state police said. Siel lost control of the sedan, which crashed into a guardrail and came to rest blocking the northbound lane of travel.
Bailey, 37, of Sandpoint; and Siel, 54, of Athol, were taken to Bonner General Health, according to an ISP news release. Both motorists were wearing seat belts.
The crash happened around 5:48 p.m. south of the Bottle Bay Road turnoff.
