GOVERNMENT: Get what we deserve
Before a person can practice medicine, be a pilot of any type, drive a bus or operate a train, practice law, or any other myriad of occupations that require study, certification and recertification, we require that person to meet certain standards and to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in said discipline. All of these things can directly impact individuals with serious consequences.
Why then do we allow politicians to control a potentially very dangerous machine, government at all levels? Especially at the federal level, one of the most powerful machines in the world. Why when the great majority of them, even if they have any knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, ignore that same document? Because they have a great smile and line of BS? Any good con man has that.
Maybe that’s why we call the Senate and House Con-gress? Would we be happy to go to any of the aforementioned professionals and accept the fact that they don’t know their field, but schmoozed their way into that occupation? I suppose that this is what an illiterate and apathetic populace deserves. And we pay top dollar for it to boot!
