Event planned for Post Falls man with cancer

A spaghetti feed and silent auction fundraiser to benefit Danny Searls, who is battling terminal stage 4 liver cancer, is 6 p.m. Feb. 20, at Heart of the City Church, 521 Emma Ave., Coeur d'Alene.

Searls, of Post Falls, is a former truck driver and was the sole provider for his family. Tickets are $10 per person, available by calling 660-7465, 660-7457, 277-6546 or 704-4342.

Donations for the auction can be dropped at Eagle Home Mortgage, 608 Northwest Blvd., Suite 402, Coeur d'Alene. A Facebook page, Danny's benefit dinner, is dedicated toward the event.

Funds will assist with day-to-day living expenses and medical bills. Disability insurance does not kick in until he has been disabled for several months or he passes. He was diagnosed with cancer in December.
