SEAHAWKS: 12th Crybaby?
After hearing Russell Wilson’s post victory comments after the Green Bay game and reading your editorial “Whose side is God really on?,” I vowed to listen closely to Mr. Wilson’s comments after the Super Bowl, especially if Seattle lost. Sure enough, Seattle lost and I noticed that Mr. Wilson made no comments about “God”…God must NOT be “good all the time man, every time” or He wouldn’t have directed that errant pass into the arms of an enemy combatant, or maybe He just decided to be “good all the time, every time” to the Patriot defensive back on this Sunday … athletes’ success on the athletic field to “God” are ridiculous…do they really believe that “God” is going to make a conscious decision to favor one group of athletes over another group of athletes. I would hope to God that He has more important things to do, even if it is just to talk with Mr. Banks.
I also agree with your editorial criticizing Marshawn Lynch and his vulgar lack of class and sportsmanship. The entire Seattle franchise, plus fans, needs to learn a thing or two about class and sportsmanship. They don’t know how to win with class and sportsmanship. Be a little humble and considerate in victory. In defeat, show a little sportsmanship, be graceful losers. Their end of game lack of control, attempting to start a riot and fighting, is really bush league. After witnessing and listening to the actions of Seahawk fans on Sunday and Monday, I’ve come to the conclusion that the franchise should change their name to the “Seattle Crybaby Losers” and the “12th Man” should be changed to the “12th Crybaby.”
After careful thought regarding whether “God” had anything to do with the Super Bowl, maybe “God” did have something to do with the outcome of the game. Maybe it was an object lesson for the Seattle franchise and its fans…after all, we’ve been told numerous times that God works in mysterious ways.
