BOISE (AP) - The Discovery Center of Idaho has received a $330,000 gift from the Micron Foundation.

The Discovery Center announced the gift in a statement Thursday and says an area that holds workshops will be renovated later this year and named the Micron Innovation Exhibit Lab.

Discovery Center Executive Director Kristine Barney says the money will help the center improve exhibits, programing and visitor experiences.

The Discovery Center is a hands-on science education center with exhibits for kids and adults.

The Micron Foundation works to promote science, technology, engineering and math education.
