The Shoshone County Sheriff's Office is alerting residents that this weekend's forecast of warmer weather and steady rain could produce flooding along the Coeur d'Alene River at Cataldo.
The river is predicted to crest at 42.59 feet on Saturday evening, above the "action" flood stage of 42 feet, according to the National Weather Service.
Riverview Drive west of Kingston is the first area affected during these events and there is a good chance for some water over the road there, the sheriff's office reported. County road crews will be have barricades ready if that section of road floods.
