A high-speed, three-car pileup sent two drivers to the hospital Tuesday morning and landed one in jail.
Marcia Waite, 23, of Wallace was traveling in a 2009 Toyota Matrix southbound on U.S. 95 at a high rate of speed when she crashed into the rear of a 1992 Toyota pickup around 5:30 a.m., according to Idaho State Police.
The pickup - driven by Jay Dennis, 59, of Sagle - was shoved forward into the rear of a 2000 Ford Windstar van, which was driven by Gerald Miller, 52, of Athol.
Both Dennis and Miller were injured in the crash and transported to Kootenai Health. They were treated and released.
Waite, who was uninjured, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to Kootenai County jail.
