POST FALLS - Post Falls Police officers are investigating three home burglaries reported in the Montrose subdivision that occurred either late Friday or early Saturday.

The burglaries were reported in the 1400 block of West Yaquina Drive, 1700 block of North Chehalis Street and the 1400 block of North Willamette Drive.

"Our guess is that they're related as they occurred around the same time in the same area," Post Falls Police Capt. Greg McLean said.

McLean said detectives do not have any leads on a suspect or suspects.

The homeowner on Chehalis told police he believes someone entered his house through an unlocked back slider door between 1 and 8 a.m.

Items reported stolen included two wallets, which had multiple credit cards, and more than $300 worth of other items including a PlayStation 3 game system, two controllers and a TV sound bar.

The homeowner on Yaquina told police he believes someone entered his garage through an open side door. He reported cabinets had been rummaged through and that a cigarette carton that didn't belong to anyone at the home was left behind near the garage door.

About $1,200 worth of items were reported stolen, including a car stereo still in the box and other music equipment, hunting knives, a survival kit and drill case.

The homeowner on Willamette told an officer he believes someone entered his property through a backyard side gate and a side garage door. He said his car door and a door leading to the backyard were left open, but he didn't think anything had been stolen.
