<p>Kootenai County Fire and Rescue works with Ground Force employees pull a rope on the scene of an industrial accident at Ground Force. An employee was spraying the inside of a tank when he suffered a medical emergency, according to Chief Scot Haug. Post Falls Police officers were able to successfully remove the unidentified employee from the tank and transport him to Kootenai Health.</p>

<p>Elsie Deane, of Coeur d’Alene, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at the Garden Plaza of Post Falls. Deane moved to Coeur d’Alene four years ago to be closer to her son, one of her four children. “I had a good time dancing and raising children,” Deane said. “I never believed I would make it to 100.”</p>

Chief Blubaum has had several family members diagnosed with breast cancer, including his mom who is undergoing treatment. “It was the best christmas present I’ve ever received,” Blubaum said.</p>

<p>Friends and family of Veronica Rutledge, the 29-year-old Blackfoot, Idaho woman who was accidentally shot by her 2-year-old son at the Hayden Walmart last Tuesday, grieve near the steps of St. Thomas Catholic Church Tuesday in Coeur d’Alene. The Family of Veronica "Roni" Rutledge has established a memorial fund to help offset the cost of funeral costs. Donations can be made to the Veronica Rutledge Memorial Fund at any US Bank location.</p>

Kootenai County Fire and Rescue responded to the fire at 10:07 a.m. The cause of the fire is non-suspicious but still officially undetermined.</p>
