Gene Anson, 84

| February 1, 2015 8:00 PM

Gene Anson, 84, peacefully left us to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Jan. 25, 2015.

Gene was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Colorado and later moved to California, where he met and married Treva, the love of his life. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

Gene was self-employed and worked hard in the construction trade. They retired to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Gene's family and Christian faith were most important to him.

Family and friends will remember Gene as a loving and giving man, who could fix or build almost anything. The greatest gift he has given to those who knew him is the peace of knowing that he is with our Lord and Savior and we will be able to join him in the future.

Gene is survived by Treva, his wife of 63 years; his two children, Debbie and Michael; son and daughter-in-law Bill and Diana; sister Erma; nephew Steve; nieces Linda, Jane and Brenda; grandchildren Jeff, Nick, Mike, Beth and Jon; and great-grandchildren Ryan, Kaden, Kamren, Kyle, Madisyn, Maya, Paetyn, Mason and Anna.

Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel, has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
