Beth A. Goldfuss, 96

Beth A. Goldfuss passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2015, at the Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at the age of 96.

Beth was born on July 8, 1918, in Denver, Colo., to Burton and Arvilla Gorton. She grew up and attended high school in Dunbar, Neb.

Beth married Richard P. Goldfuss on Aug. 30, 1947, in Omaha, Neb. They had two sons - Richard, Jr. and Robert Goldfuss. In 1953, the family relocated to Fullerton, Calif., where Beth was a stay-at-home mom involved in the kid's schools and sporting events.

After Beth and Richard divorced in 1975, she went to work at the Chicken Dinner Restaurant at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif., until she retired. In 2005, Beth moved into Guardian Angel Homes in Post Falls to be near her son Richard and his wife JoAnna.

Beth is survived by her two sons, Richard (JoAnna) Goldfuss of Coeur d'Alene, and Robert Goldfuss of Elkhart, Ind.; her sister Anita Jean (Phil) Lawler of Elkhorn, Neb.; as well as five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Beth was a very sweet and caring person. She loved dogs and animals of all types. In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made to your local Humane Society.

At her request, no services will be held at this time. The family will have a private ceremony at a later date.
