GUNS: 'No fly' won't fly

| December 27, 2015 8:00 PM

So my anti-gun activists think that anyone on the “no fly list” should be prevented from purchasing a weapon, and that this would make us safer. This is a liberal, emotion-driven argument. Take a step back, take a deep breath and look at this from a clear, logical standpoint.

1. The terrorists in the San Bernardino shootings were not on a “no fly list.”

2. A friend of theirs bought the guns for them.

3. In two minutes they could have killed 14 people with bolt-action hunting rifles.

4. The Second Amendment is part of our Constitution. You can’t tear it apart by executive order, like the “no fly list,” no matter how well-intended your motive may be.

By the way,

1 . Our First Amendment rights are also under attack, especially on college campuses.

2. The Tenth Amendment is also under attack by the Obama administration.

3. Obama also undermines the separation of powers. Example: if he thinks that he doesn’t have Congressional backing, he issues an unconstitutional executive order.

Let’s quit calling these people “liberals”; they are socialists!
