POEM: Fathers and daughters

| December 23, 2015 8:00 PM

A gifted father apprehends his daughter’s tears,

A talented father speaks wisdom with his silence,

A strong father cries with her when she feels weak,

And real father treasures his princess,

A courageous father admits his fears,

A confident father acknowledges his insecurity,

An intelligent father knows he doesn’t have all the answers,

And a father’s true pride should be in his daughter’s humility,

A father’s joy should be found in her smile,

A father’s duty should always be her protection,

A father’s fear should be growing distant,

From the one who embraces him with compassion,

A father’s gift is simply his daughter,

A daughter’s gift should be her fathers love,

A father’s joy though is growing up fast now,

For a father a daughter is an angel from above.
