REFUGEES: Obama's plan falls short

| December 2, 2015 8:00 PM

I have heard and read comments that potential refugees from the Middle East don’t share our language, religion and values (based on our Constitution). So what?

The same might have been said, and I believe it was, in the late 19th century in California about Chinese immigrants. Chinatown in San Francisco is one of the safest, friendliest places in the U.S. They also have preserved their Chinese culture while being loyal U.S. citizens. It is a must-see place to visit.

However, Asians, Europeans, Jews, whomever, came to America without anti-American terrorists included within their refugee immigrations.

It took fewer than a dozen ISIS terrorists to carry out the Paris attack of Nov. 13. We can screen these types of people out, if we let 100,000 Syrian refugees into the U.S. We have to protect American lives; Obama’s plan won’t do that.
