PFPD chief to become president of state group

POST FALLS - Post Falls Police Chief Scot Haug will become president of the Idaho Chiefs of Police Association on Oct. 1.

Haug will serve the one-year term after being the group's vice president this year.

The association holds quarterly meetings across the state and provides training to new chiefs, settings to share ideas and considers taking positions on legislative topics.

Haug has been involved in the association for the past 15 years, including when he was a lieutenant at PFPD.

Fifty city police departments are members of ICOPA.
