FETAL: Another side to the story

| August 9, 2015 9:00 PM

Ron Vieselmeyer’s letter was published in the Coeur d’Alene Press Wednesday morning. It is an interesting coincidence that while he was ranting away at Planned Parenthood and demanding that the organization be defunded, this column was found in “The Week” and I quote:

“The National Institutes of Health spent $76 million on medical research using fetal tissue in 2014, with grants to more than 50 universities. Researchers say fetal tissue is a rich source of stem cells and is being used to study organ replacement, AIDS, muscular dystrophy, leukemia, lymphoma, and Parkinson’s disease.” — Source article, New York Times.

And what is the current source for fetal tissue, to be used in these research projects?
