FLAG: Up there, God can see it

| April 29, 2015 9:00 PM

After reading the article in the Coeur d’Alene Press, I wanted to express my opinion.

I am a retired, disabled veteran, USAF. I can’t speak for my friends or brothers — there are more than 19,000 veterans living here in this area, according to VFW — but I’m proud to see the American flag flying over the great pine, or over the capitol of the USA. I personally fly the flag at my home and business, as do fellow veterans and family. I wear the flag under the American bald eagle on my right arm.

Thank you from me and my brothers to the brave person who placed the flag high in the pines so God and everyone can see it. Though the Forest Service and Smokey the Bear might object, keep on flying. At 73, I still do!
