COEUR d'ALENE - After 20 years of volunteering on the Coeur d'Alene Planning Commission, Heather Bowlby has left her post. During her tenure, it's estimated she attended more than 1,000 meetings. Bowlby was acknowledged for her dedication to the commission during a party held Thursday at the Jewett House that was attended by several planning commissioners, planning staff, city employees Mayor Steve Widmyer, Council President Woody McEvers and others.

Planning Commission Chairman Brad Jordan praised Bowlby for her service.

"Heather has the ability to thoroughly understand even the most complicated proposals," Jordan said. "She asks the right questions and makes logical, well thought out decisions. On behalf of the entire Planning Commission I sincerely thank Heather for her service to our great city."
