Artwalk season begins tonight

Artwalk has arrived.

The community event returns to downtown Coeur d'Alene today from 5-8 p.m. It will continue every second Friday of each month through December.

The free event is open to the public. All ages are invited to stroll Sherman Avenue and adjacent streets between Second and Sixth Streets and meander through art galleries and shops while enjoying culture, food, drink and music from local artists and downtown restaurants.

Participating galleries:

Blackwell Gallery, Summers Glass and Beads, Coeur d'Alene Galleries, Gallery Northwest, The Painter's Chair Gallery, The Art Spirit Gallery, Angel Gallery of Fine Art and Studio 107.

Supporting restaurants:

Tito's Italian Grill and Wine Shop, Seasons of Coeur d'Alene, The Cellar, Shenanigan's Toy Emporium and Sweet Shop, Pita Pit and Crickets Downtown Bar and Grill.

Other participants with art on display:

Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, Tomlinson Sotheby's International Realty and Kyle Rutley Fitness.

Second Friday Downtown ArtWalk is organized and presented by The Coeur d'Alene Arts & Culture Alliance.
