Reeta Bigelow, 93

Reeta Bigelow, wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife and friend over the many years, has left us to join her family and friends that were waiting for her in Heaven.

On Sunday, April 5, 2015, Reeta passed away at the age of 93. Reeta was born in Wimborne, Alberta, Canada, and had lived in Coeur d'Alene since 1963.

Over the many years Reeta worked hard, had fun, and loved and supported those in her life. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and cooking for those she loved.

In Canada she helped run the family farm, and in Coeur d'Alene Reeta and her husband, Carl, owned and operated the Silver Beach Motel and campground. Reeta also volunteered for a local auxiliary group.

On Easter Sunday the Lord brought Reeta home, and though she will be missed by all who knew her, Reeta is at peace, happy and dancing for eternity.

A visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. today, April 9, and from 9-10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10, at English Funeral Chapel, 133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 10, at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene; a reception and burial at Riverview Cemetery will follow.
