POST FALLS - Killian Estes drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the six inning on a 2-run triple as the Lakeland Hawks rallied to beat the Timberlake Tigers 9-8 in a nonleague game at Post Falls High on Saturday.

"I was pleased to see our bats get rolling," Lakeland coach Jason Bradbury said. "I couldn't have been more pleased with their production and play throughout both games."

Ryan Pote hit a leadoff home run for Lakeland against Timberlake.

"I'm very proud of the boys and am excited to see what they can do for us the rest of the way," Bradbury said. "Hopefully, they can give us that spark we need to get rolling in the right direction."

Jarrett Plunkett hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning for Timberlake, which rallied to take an 8-7 lead. Derek Galloway scored two runs for Timberlake (6-2), which travels to Moscow for a nonleague doubleheader on Tuesday.

Post Falls 8, Lakeland 1: Post Falls' Wyatt Setian had three hits and two RBIs and Dalton Lozier allowed one run in a complete game in a win against Lakeland.

"Our players did a good job of making adjustments at the plate today," Post Falls coach Dustin Frank said. "Our pitchers did a good job doing what they had to do to keep us in the game."

Jake Pfennigs and Treavor Hammel had two RBIs each for Post Falls against Lakeland. Brian Howell had two hits against Post Falls for Lakeland (1-4), which visits Lake City on Monday.

"Brian pitched very well against Post Falls," Bradbury said. "We just didn't give him any run support and struggled hitting the ball."

Max McCullough had a three-run double in the second inning and Chaz Bailey had a two-run double in the fourth inning for Post Falls (6-3-1), which travels to Sandpoint on Tuesday.
