CHRISTIANS: Word, actions not equal

As I read the recent opinion letters regarding “what the Bible actually says” from various Christians, I could only shake my head in shame at my fellow North Idahoans. Thanks a lot for reinforcing the stereotype that we are all a bunch of Bible thumping, gay hating, bigoted rednecks. I especially love it when you all feel the need to tell us how your interpretation of a 2,000-year-old book is the right interpretation and all the other Christians’ interpretations are wrong.

At this point I’m not sure who Christians disagree with more; atheists or other Christians? Once you come to an agreement amongst yourselves about what the Bible REALLY says and what the BEST way to get to heaven is, let us know. In the meantime, us atheists/agnostics/humanists/non-believers will sit back and relax, content with making the most of our short time on this small orb hurtling through the vacuum of space.
