BYU-Idaho singers to perform concert benefit for food bank

As part of a two-week concert tour throughout North Idaho, Montana and Washington, the Collegiate Singers from Brigham Young University-Idaho will perform locally on April 14.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road.

Proceeds of the concert will be donated to the Community Action Partnership food bank in Coeur d'Alene.

Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at Super 1 Foods customer service counters in Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Rathdrum and Post Falls stores.

Comprised of nearly 50 of the university's finest vocalists, the Collegiate Singers perform an array of music styles and sounds that appeal to broad audiences everywhere they go. Full of vibrant energy and inspiration, a concert of the BYU-Idaho Collegiate Singers promises to be a memorable experience.

Under the direction of Randall Kempton, the group aims to provide a wholesome, fun and heartfelt performance of vocal music that entertains and inspires families and individuals of all ages.

The group has toured all over the world, including most recently in Ghana, Africa, in 2013. It has also appeared with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on its weekly broadcast Music and the Spoken Word.
