REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE OF WORK Kootenai School District #274 (KSD) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for design and installation of the following: Installation of a security system to encompass the three schools, the bus garage, and the lagoon on the school district campus/property near the junction of Highway 3 and Highway 97 in Kootenai County, Idaho. The system should include remote buzz-in capable exterior doors for the main entrance to each building that can be controlled from each of the schools office and district office locations as well as card lock entry. Additionally, all secondary exterior doors shall be changed to a card lock entry and third tier exterior doors will be rekeyed. All exterior doors will have an alarm which will activate when left open for an extended period of time (the timing of the alarm will be adjustable). All interior doors shall be rekeyed. The entire district upon completion of the rekey excluding the bus garage will be accessible using three master keys, one for each building; individual classrooms and offices will also have their own key, and maintenance access areas will be grouped and keyed with one key per building. In addition to the cameras for the buzz-in exterior doors, interior hallways shall be fitted with security cameras which can be monitored centrally from the building and district office as well as remotely. The bus garage shall also be fitted with security cameras placed to provide adequate coverage. Completion of the project is desired for June 30, 2015. PROPOSAL CONTENT The proposal must be organized in sections containing the following information: \u2022 Description of Firm.
