COEUR d'ALENE - Downtown, crunched for time but want to squeeze in some yoga fusion? How about resistance training? Maybe a power kick or core fit class?

Kyle Rutley Fitness, which is now open at 313 Sherman Ave., hopes to meet that demand for busy business-types downtown. Single classes are $7, and those needing a lot more can take an unlimited number for $80 per month.

Kyle T. Rutley, a personal trainer and triathlon swim coach, is the owner of the new business. He is leasing 3,900 square feet of floor space in the former Wine Cellar location. The fitness class studio opened Aug. 25.

"We're passionate about helping people, all shapes and sizes," Rutley, 25, said Monday at his studio. "Our model isn't a conventional gym. We base our whole philosophy around training and classes."

There is no open gym where people can come and work out independently.

"We have the capability of having five to six trainers on the floor at all times," Rutley said.

Stan Chevalley is one of the yoga instructors at the fitness studio.

"I haven't seen anyone (else) fuse a full-body workout with yoga," Chevalley said. He said his classes focus on the principles of alignment, attitude and full-body fitness.
