ABORTION: Adolph or Ludwig van?

| September 26, 2014 9:00 PM

Excellent letter from Mr. Hollingsworth re: abortion but followed by a rather puzzling response from Beatrus Steele on Sept. 19. Mr. Hollingsworth said, in effect, don’t kill those aligned for abortion because one might be a Beethoven (or some such). Ms. Steele’s response in effect was that the following point was just as valid: Kill them because one might be a Hitler.

Now Ms. Steele’s response was quite accurate in that there is as much chance for one as for the other but let’s not store our brains away without further analysis. Ms. Steele divides the population into two camps: first camp — spare them because one might be a Beethoven. Second camp: — kill them because one might be a Hitler. Now I should be able at this point to terminate the argument since very elementary logic is involved. Does anyone want to join that second camp? I assume that most — if not all — of you would prefer to exhibit at least some tiny spark of humanity.
