NESSE: Knowing her is believing

| September 21, 2014 9:00 PM

For nearly 20 years Anne Nesse pursued improvements for citizens of the Coeur d’Alene area. As a former RN, she is action-oriented. When there is a problem, she investigates, researches, interviews and resolves. When she realized that Post Falls did not have a string music program she worked with the school district to provide a string program, instruments for students and became the teacher of the program. To promote locally grown food, she interviewed local farmers and food producers and created a website to promote their produce.

Anne learned, after walking the neighborhoods of Coeur d’Alene, that many could not support their family even with two people working. After research and investigation she began work to promote raising the minimum age. She spent months working in Boise to bring the proposal to the legislature and to the public through the initiative process.

Anne believes strongly in improving educational opportunities for Idahoans. She knows that investing in our children’s future is an investment in all our futures. She has promoted a nurse practitioner residency program for Idaho as a new educational opportunity that will improve health care for Idahoans and provide job opportunities. Anne will work to raise Idaho from dead last among all the states in per pupil expenditures.

Studying, investigating, inquiring are qualities necessary to gain an understanding of any issue. Anne Nesse is willing to spend the time and energy to accurately assess problems of medical care, fair wages, expanded job opportunities and an educational system that prepares our students for the challenges of the 21st century.

We support Anne because she will work for the well-being of all her constituents. We know her as a person of integrity, compassion, perseverance and a willingness to work to improve our community.
