Person Field playground dedication today

COEUR d'ALANE - The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of the Person Field playground today at 11 a.m.

For those who want to help with the finishing touches, parks officials will begin spreading wood chips at the base of the playground equipment at 10:30 a.m.

"Anyone who wants to grab a shovel or wheelbarrow and lend a hand is welcome," said interim parks director Bill Greenwood.

The Coeur d'Alene Association of Realtors, which donated $30,000 for the playground equipment, will provide a free lunch following the ribbon cutting ceremony.
