North Idaho Retired Educators plan event

| September 17, 2014 9:00 PM

North Idaho Retired Educators, Region 1 chapter of the Idaho State Retired Educators, will hold its first meeting of the year at 11 a.m. Monday at the Post Falls Senior Center.

The luncheon meeting will include introductions and activities to get acquainted with members' teaching careers and retirement activities.

Norma Seaton, retired home economics teacher from the Kellogg District is president; Mary Williams, secretary; and Ruth Spencer, treasurer. Doug Cresswell is co-president and region representative to the Idaho State Retired Educators Association.

The group is actively recruiting members, and would like to have all retired educators - including teachers, administrators and assistant teachers - to come join for the year. It meets on the fourth Monday of each month, with a program and socializing with lunch at the Senior Center, at a nominal cost.

This first meeting of the year will be simply a get-acquainted session to introduce everybody.

To reserve lunch, call Karen Melton, 773-1349.

The October meeting is planned with a trip to the historic Cataldo Mission State Park with lunch at the Mission Inn.

If you have questions or would like to come for the first time, RSVP to our membership chairperson Karen Melton, 773-1349, or President Norma Seaton at 786-9903.
