Do you think the U.S. has done enough to fight the war on terror?

Anneliese Bashaw, Coeur d'Alene

"I think we've done a lot to acknowledge what's happened since (9/11) and brought terrorism to our attention so we're being safer and watching out for ourselves."

Sarah Fitzgerald, Post Falls

"I can remember everything that happened that day, and if you talk to people that are younger than us, it's amazing how a lot of kids don't remember 9/11 and don't know. I think it's kind of crazy how big it was and how many people it touched and that sometimes it's not as important anymore."

Jim Ballard, Coeur d'Alene

"No. Our current administration doesn't seem to have a clue what to do about it."

Pat Ballard, Coeur d'Alene

"No. I think it's pretty self-explanatory. We keep having (terrorists) come here and our borders are open, so that brings them in even more."

Jacob McDonald, Coeur d'Alene

"Yeah, I think they've done their part. Obviously, there's been some stuff overseas, but I think we're going to definitely be prepared this time if there's another terrorist attack."

Mike Mires, Coeur d'Alene

"If you ask me if (Obama) is doing the right thing, I think this is kind of a new era where people are saying, 'Before I just jump in with presidential authority to do what I'm going to do, I'm going to gather the alliances to do so.' I would say he's doing it right by my way of doing things."

Gayne Clifford, Coeur d'Alene

"I'm ex-military, and I don't think we're taking a strong enough position. My position is, if you don't have a strong offensive stance, you're going to get beat up on, and I think this is the case. I think we need to do more on the war on terror. I think we need to take it to them and stop it."

Laura Fitzgerald, Post Falls

"I remember seeing it on the TVs - everyone was just emotional. I think we went on lockdown and got out of school early because we were in the Chicago area. I remember going home and my parents were crying ... That's a hard question to answer. Yes and no. I think when 9/11 happened, yes, but now, not so much. I feel like it's been kind of pushed aside and people need to be reminded of it."
