So Post Falls is going to pay half of the Tullamore development’s $450,000 cost for lights on Highway 41. How nice.

And the realasnaker on the City Council recused herself due to a conflict of interest. Even more nice. Now she can sell more property with the nothing $ down USDA mortgages Post Falls is still small enough to qualify for. (Like that’s going to last.)

So, Post Falls, who is going to pay to widen Highway 41 to mitigate the daily constipation caused by too many vehicles?

Not any developer, that much is clear. It’s you and me for those who actually pay taxes.

The hypocrisy of these unsustainable urban sprawl/local government budget builders is remarkable. They all hate California or western Washington’s congested roadways and overcrowded jails and bloated government, but they insist on doing what they did to get their constipated roadways and overcrowded jails and bloated government. Good thinking!

As long as it means more commissions, commercial or residential or pay-day lending, it’s all good for the City Council at least. Maybe they all should recuse themselves. From us.
