VOTE: For best qualified people

| October 30, 2014 9:00 PM

Please vote on November 4th and consider qualifications and character over party affiliation when exercising your citizenship responsibility. It defies both common sense and logic to presume that either party’s candidates intend harm to citizens and communities, our state, or our system of government in the course of their service to us all.

This election’s primary issue is education. Cheryl Stransky’s 30+ year career as an educator and counselor validate her credentials as an advocate for Idaho schools and students. Cheryl is one of the slate of pro-public education candidates running on the Democratic ticket including A.J. Balukoff (Gov.), Shirley Ringo (US Senate), Jana Jones (Supt. of Schools) and others whose election will bring balance to the discourse in our legislature and help improve the system of public education in Idaho.

Stransky’s opponent celebrates his rejection of public schools in favor of homeschooling his children. This is his right and choice, but the majority of Idahoans parent at home, then rely on professional educators in our local public school systems for most of the academic and social education of their children. More than 90 percent of Idaho students are served by Idaho public schools. Citizens and students from Coeur d’Alene to Bayview deserve a voice in our state legislature that will represent those parents and advocate for public school students in our community and throughout the state. That researched, reasonable, and responsive voice is Cheryl Stransky’s. Please vote for Cheryl Stransky on November 4th.
