COEUR d'ALENE - Sophomore midfielder Travis Swallow scored the first two goals of his varsity career on Saturday, leading the Lake City Timberwolves to a 2-0 win over visiting Coeur d'Alene at the Irma Anderl Soccer Complex, clinching the Timberwolves' second straight 5A Inland Empire League title.

"It's always good to win a league title back-to-back years," Lake City coach Chad Beadell said. "It shows all the hard work the guys are doing and it's paid off. They're performing at a high level and I'm proud of them. All the kudos go to the team."

Swallow scored his first career varsity goal in the 72nd minute, as he took a crossing pass, made a run past midfield, beat a defender and buried the ball in the far post for Lake City (12-0, 5-0).

"It was a very good game today," Beadell said. "We were lucky Travis was there at the right position and he took full advantage of it. Not a bad time for Travis to score his first goal."
