Edie Harbison, 63

| November 12, 2014 8:00 PM

On November 5th Edie Harbison, beloved wife, mother & grammy passed away after battling an aggressive cancer that began early summer of 2014. She is survived by her husband Ron, daughters Angela and Bridgit, son-in-law Nicholas and grandchildren Jadyn, Taylor and Benny.

She was born to Erma and Carl Mickelson August 18th 1951 in Rolla, North Dakota. Edie grew up in North Dakota with her brothers Ed, Bob, & Dave and sisters Dot and Shirley. After college she moved to Portland, Oregon where she met and fell in love with Ron Harbison who she married and started a family with in Hayden, Idaho.

Edie was a beloved member of the community who took care of the sewing and alterations needs of many for over 30 years in the Hayden area. She was well known by the various branches of local law enforcement as she handled all of their uniform alterations and repairs for the past 10+ years. She took great pride in her work and truly enjoyed taking care of her customers, especially those wearing badges!

Her favorite past time was being with her grandkids - it was hard to know Edie without her showing pictures/videos and sharing stories about her beloved grandkids. She was known for being a vibrant, energetic, fun & loving woman who touched the lives of many. She will be greatly missed, but we take comfort knowing she is now home with her heavenly father, and is reunited with her dad, Carl, in heaven.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 15th at Yates Funeral Home Hayden Chapel. Please visit Edie's online memorial and sign her online guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
