Here are a few basic calculations regarding our present national debt:

One million dollars in $100 bills = 44 pounds +/-

One billion dollars in $100 bills = 44,000 pounds or 22 tons

One trillion dollars in $100 bills = 44,000,000 pounds or 22,000 tons

17 trillion dollars in $100 bills = 748,000,000 pounds or 374,000 tons, the equivalent weight of four nuclear powered aircraft carriers. How’s that for saddling our children and grandchildren with a heavy burden?
