VAGRANTS: A matter of need

Re: Shelley Williams April 23 “Readers Write” letter in the Coeur d’Alene Press:

O.M.G. Ms. Williams, when did you become an expert on vagrants here in Coeur d’Alene? I could go on about how stupid you sound. But I won’t. I just have this to say: God forbid you, or someone you know, ends up homeless or in need of a hot meal. These, what you called “free services,” help the people who need help the most. Coeur d’Alene is in the USA, and in the USA we try to help the ones who can’t always help themselves. So, if you have a problem with that, maybe you should move to a small island, or maybe to the south pole. I don’t think that you will find many, as you put it, “mentally unstable,” dirty or drunk people that will scare you. You don’t belong in Coeur d’Alene, or anywhere in the USA. This is just one man’s opinion.
