SCHOOLS: Rumors of a Bible discourager

| June 13, 2014 9:00 PM

It has come to our attention that a certain counselor in Coeur d’Alene School District 271 is presently discouraging students from bringing a Bible to school, yet has no problem promoting sexual activities and other things by providing preventive measures to students at no extra cost.

With the vast majority of Americans claiming to be Christian, it would seem that we should reconsider and take seriously who we allow, in our schools, to mentor our children prior to entering the adult world. Even if a parent is not so inclined to the Christian doctrine, to teach our young adults the basic Ten Commandments would go a long way in curing the present ills of our society.

However, if we think that not loving one another, and lying, stealing, coveting and self-indulgence, etc., is the norm, then I guess it will only be a matter of time when this once great country of ours will follow in the footsteps of other past civilizations that tried the same route and, ultimately, bit the dust.
