Ask Fish and Game: Recording salmon catch

| June 12, 2014 9:00 PM

Question: Do I need to record salmon I keep that are less than 24 inches on my permit?

Answer: No. Anglers are only required to record adult chinook salmon longer than 24 inches on their permits. Anglers are not required to record jack salmon (those less than 24 inches in total length). You must count jacks as part of daily limits and possession limits, but you are not required to count them as part of the statewide season limits.
