Ask your audiologist...

Location matters! Celebrating 10 great years in Midtown.

I am celebrating the 10-year anniversary of my office location. Call for an appointment by June 30 (mention this article) and receive $200 off a pair of hearing aids.

A little bit of history about my office. One of my patients told me there used to be a dairy on this parcel before this little strip mall was built. This building is more than 60 years old. The first occupant on my end was a hairdresser, and then it was the local Beltone hearing aid center for about 30 years.

I moved my audiology clinic into that same space during the month of June, 2004. My father came up from my hometown of Kennewick, Washington, and built my custom counters and cabinetry in three days. He worked from dawn to dusk to get it done before returning to do a big job he had scheduled back home.

I have a lot of pride in how well it turned out. The layout of my office serves me well. My dad wouldn't take any money for his labor, but he did hint that he wanted a golf game at The Resort. I gladly bought that golf game for two, so my dad and husband could go together. My dad bragged about that round of golf, the boat ride and the pre-game massage for years to come.

The outside of the building was remodeled a few years ago, so it looks nice and modern. It is half brick and half wood, with green support beams. One of the reasons I chose to start my clinic in this location was because it is centrally located near our medical center and fairly easy to find. We are five blocks south of I-90 and Dave Smith Motors, across from the big US Bank at midtown (corner of Third and Hazel). The parking is easy and the handicap spot and ramp are located right in front of my entry door. You can just park and walk in. It is easily accessible for wheelchairs and walkers because there are no double doors or elevators.

In celebration of 10 good years in midtown, I am going to toot my own horn! I am the first doctor of audiology in North Idaho. I am the only private practice audiologist in North Idaho. I am retired from 21 years combined service in the Air Force/Air National Guard. I have been writing articles about hearing, hearing loss and hearing aids for the Coeur d'Alene Press for the last 10 years.

I have the largest selection of hearing aids, including being the only provider of extended wear deep insertion aids. I am an audiologist, not a dispenser, so I can bill your insurance - including Medicare and Medicaid.

For a personal care hearing evaluation or hearing aid consultation, please call for an appointment. I would love to help you or your loved one hear well.
