Paul F. Jank, 92

Paul Francis Jank, resident of Hayden Lake, ID, passed away January 23, 2014, at Kootenai Medical Center, Coeur d’Alene, ID. Paul was born June 16, 1921, in Buffalo, New York.

Paul graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1939 and then graduated from General Motors Institute. Paul served in WWII as an Army Sgt. Radar Technician and then worked 40 years for Saginaw Chevrolet Transmission as Purchasing Agent and then General Superintendent of Stores.

Paul was a resident of Bay City, Saginaw & Linwood Beach, MI. In 1983 Paul and his wife Barbara retired to Costa Mesa, CA. Then In 1992 they moved to Hayden Lake, ID, where they have resided for the past 21 years.

Throughout the years Paul has enjoyed home construction, remodeling, boating, water skiing, fishing, bowling, golfing and snowmobiling. He had also held memberships at Maple Hills Golf Club and The Elks Club.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Frank P. Jank & Jennie (Larqueman) Jank; brothers Earl Jank & Roy Jank.

Paul is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara Jean (Poulson) Jank; sister Janis Richards of Kalamazoo, MI; brother Frank P. Jank of Newport Beach, CA; three sons: Paul (wife Solly) Jank II of Beaufort, SC; Michael Jank of Hayden, ID; Timothy (wife Pam) Jank of Hayden Lake, ID; two daughters: Barbara Jo (husband Mark) Young of Saginaw, MI: Mary Sue (Wayne Sitz) Delrez of Costa Mesa, CA; nine grandchildren: Clint Jank, Kirsteen James, Lisa Breathauer Efrati, Natalie Young, Alan Delrez, Amy Bowman, Brandon Jank, Travis Jank, Allison Jank; four great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews; his faithful dog Annie.

A celebration of his life will be held at his Son’s home in Hayden Lake, ID, at a future date.
