BlueStreak bluegrass band at JACC

| January 24, 2014 8:00 PM

The Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center will present BlueStreak, a bluegrass band, on Feb. 7. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the center, 405 William St., Post Falls.

Bluestreak is anchored around the vocals and guitar work of Doug Bond of Sandpoint, with Bob Asbury, on banjo, and Dave Hackwith, on standup bass.

Asbury and Hackwith are veteran players from the long enduring northwest group, Custer's Grass Band. Bluestreak delivers what is described as "the high lonesome sounds of traditional bluegrass harmony on a foundation of rock-solid acoustic instrumentation."

Ticket prices are $15, $10 for students, seniors 55 and older and members of the military.

For tickets, call (208) 457-8950 or buy online at www.thejacklincenter.org.

The JACC is a nonprofit that promotes the arts, offering exposure and development for local artists while providing a wide range of cultural experiences.
